At Kompaan, we have more than 20 women on staff. All these women came up with the idea of showing off our girl power together on International Women’s Day. Moreover, there is quite a stigma on women in the beer industry. They thought this was essential because with the current political conditions in some countries, it is not self-evident that you can get into work as a woman. So, although it is actually ridiculous that a day like this is needed, they felt it was necessary to make a statement anyway.
Together with the female brewer of Rotterdam’s Gele Kanarie, they started brewing a beer. Which one that will be, will be announced soon.
