Bondgenoot, Kameraad, Handlanger, and Bloedbroeder — the names of our beers are rooted in friendship. That’s how Kompaan began: two friends on a craft beer adventure. Today, we’ve grown into the largest independent craft brewery in South Holland.
THUISHAVEN is Kompaan’s inaugural craft beer bar, situated adjacent to our brewery in The Hague’s emerging Binckhorst industrial district. This location offers a distinctive fusion of raw industrial aesthetics and warm hospitality. Guests can enjoy a spacious waterfront terrace accommodating over 200 patrons, as well as a cozy indoor area constructed from repurposed containers and reclaimed materials.
Tasks & Responsibilities
★ Taking care of mise en place
★ Setting up and preparing work areas
★ Promptly indicating where focus is needed
Serving
★ Taking orders, explaining the menu, and advising on beer choices
★ Consulting the host or manager for exceptions
★ Communicating orders through the cash register
★ Moving tables for next guests
★ Handling of payments through the cash register
Cash register and administrative tasks
★ Creating bills and settling accounts with guests
★ Taking/noting reservations, coordinating with the host or manager
