About Kompaan
Levensgenieter, Bondgenoot, Kameraad, Handlanger and Bloedbroeder. The names of our beers reflect what Kompaan was built on: friendship. Two school friends with a shared passion for great beer and the ambition to put The Hague back on the map as a true brewing city.
Today, we’ve grown into the largest independent craft brewery in South Holland, with a modern production brewery, two of our own bars, and a passionate team dedicated to brewing distinctive beers of the highest quality. From our core range to fast-moving seasonal specials, Battle Royale releases and barrel-aged beers, the diversity of our portfolio demands craftsmanship, flexibility and an uncompromising focus on quality.
Quality is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re looking for an experienced Allround Brewer & Quality Specialist—a versatile role for someone who enjoys brewing just as much as analysing, improving and continuously raising quality standards.
The Role
As an Allround Brewer & Quality Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality of every beer that leaves our brewery. You’ll combine hands-on brewing with quality control, laboratory work and process improvement, helping us further professionalise our brewery and maintain the highest possible standards.
You’ll work across the brewhouse, cellar, packaging department and laboratory, collaborating closely with the Head Brewer, Production Manager and the rest of the production team. Together, you’ll ensure our beers meet the same exceptional quality today, tomorrow and for years to come.
You’re someone who enjoys being on the brewery floor, thinks proactively, identifies opportunities for improvement and translates data into practical actions that make our brewery smarter, more efficient and more consistent.

Quality Control & Laboratory
You’ll safeguard quality throughout the production process and ensure deviations are identified and addressed in time.
- Perform microbiological, physico-chemical and sensory analyses.
- Monitor fermentation profiles, dissolved oxygen (DO/TPO), turbidity, COâ‚‚ levels and flavour profiles.
- Carry out stability and laboratory testing.
- Manage and maintain the laboratory.
- Prepare, maintain and analyse quality reports and Excel dashboards.
- Identify deviations and initiate corrective actions.

Process Improvement
Beyond day-to-day production, you’ll actively contribute to continuously improving our brewing and quality processes.
- Monitor and improve quality systems throughout the brewery.
- Work according to HACCP, food safety and quality standards.
- Analyse production data and translate findings into improvement initiatives.
- Advise the Production Manager and Head Brewer on quality, efficiency and yield.
- Work closely with the Head Brewer and production team to optimise brewery processes.
- Contribute to the ongoing professional development of our brewery.
Who are we looking for?
You’re an experienced brewer who looks beyond simply brewing great beer. You feel just as comfortable in the laboratory as you do in the brewhouse and enjoy analysing, collaborating and continuously improving.
You take pride in ensuring every beer leaves the brewery in perfect condition. You’re curious, analytical and proactive, always looking for smarter, more efficient ways of working while maintaining the highest quality standards.
