On Saturday 26 September, Mussels & Malts Fest returns to Kompaan Thuishaven. A full day of fresh mussels, smoky BBQ, exceptional beers, DJs, fire and everything that tastes better with autumn just around the corner. 🍂🍺

🦪 MUSSELS

The mussels take centre stage: a generous portion of around 800 grams, freshly steamed in Kompaan beer and served with bread. 🍞

Not into mussels? No worries. Our BBQ and kitchen will also be serving Surf & Turf burgers, prawn pitas, oyster mushroom shawarma, piri-piri prawns, fries, snacks and limoncello tiramisu. 🍔🍤🍟🍋

Fresh hops only come around once a year. 🌿 We’re making the most of it.

At Mussels & Malts, we’re pouring three brand-new Kompaan releases:

• 🌱 Fresh Hop Beer #1 — brewed with freshly harvested hops
• 🌱 Fresh Hop Beer #2 — another seriously fresh hop release
• 🍂 Bock Beer 2026 — the debut of our new seasonal Bock

For this edition, we’re opening a special second bar inside our Barrel Park & Warehouse. 🍻

Surrounded by barrels, we’ll be pouring Kompaan beer cocktails alongside a hand-picked selection of funky, wild, sour and barrel-aged beers. 🧪

Wild Ales featuring Calvados, apple, Talus hops, vanilla, smoke and more.

🇩🇪 FrauGruber — Germany
Fruity Saisons and Grape Ale with peach, orange and strawberry.

Belgian wild, funky and sour stuff.

🎶 DJs, FIRE & GOOD TIMES 🔥

🎧 DJs will provide the soundtrack throughout the day and evening, before the headphones go on for our Silent Disco until late. 🎶
