Since opening in 2022, Kompaan Binnenhaven has become one of The Hague’s leading hospitality venues. Despite challenging times for the industry, we’ve continued to grow—not only in visitor numbers, but also in reputation.

That success hasn’t gone unnoticed. Binnenhaven was awarded “The Hague’s Coziest Terrace” and is consistently praised by hundreds of guests on Google and TripAdvisor.

With twenty taps, we serve the full range of beers brewed at our own independent brewery in The Hague, complemented by carefully selected guest beers from some of our favorite breweries in the Netherlands and abroad.

But Binnenhaven is much more than a craft beer bar. With a sunny terrace, a kitchen serving premium street food and barbecue from our Big Green Egg—something truly unique in The Hague city center—and a packed events calendar, it has grown into one of the city’s liveliest meeting places.

Every week we host live music, pub quizzes, open mic nights and a wide variety of events. Binnenhaven is rapidly earning a reputation as one of The Hague’s go-to live music venues, showcasing an eclectic programme featuring both local talent and international artists.

That’s why we’re looking for an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and experienced hospitality professional to help build on Binnenhaven’s success.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Hospitality is second nature to you.

You’re a natural host who thrives in a busy venue and always goes the extra mile for both guests and colleagues.

You’re organized, proactive and an excellent communicator. You know how to motivate a team, stay calm under pressure and enjoy working in an environment where initiative and entrepreneurship are encouraged.

You have leadership experience—or you’re ready to take on greater responsibility—and enjoy coaching colleagues, developing talent and helping your team perform at its best.

A passion for craft beer is a bonus, but a passion for hospitality is essential.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

★ Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of Binnenhaven
★ Lead by example while working alongside the team on the floor
★ Build the right team and create staff schedules
★ Coach, support and motivate your colleagues
★ Recruit, onboard and develop new team members
★ Organize and coordinate events
★ Maintain exceptional guest experiences and service standards
★ Help drive revenue, control costs and monitor business performance
★ Continuously look for ways to improve operations and grow the business
★ Ensure compliance with health, safety and HACCP regulations

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

★ A gross monthly salary between €2,600 and €3,200, depending on your experience and qualifications
