The Sweet Science is a West Coast IPA built around control and timing. That name comes from boxing, where winning isn’t about swinging harder, but about landing clean shots and staying sharp. That idea carries through the beer.
The malt base is lean and simple, which keeps the beer clear, dry, and focused. Magnum sets a firm, clean bitterness. HBC 638 adds pine and structure early on. HBC 1134 brings some brightness and fruit in the whirlpool. The dry hop with HBC 522 and more HBC 638 tightens everything up and pushes the aroma forward.
Fermented clean with NovaLager yeast, the beer stays crisp and easy to follow. You get clear hop flavors, a solid bitterness, and a dry finish that resets your palate. No distractions. Just a precise West Coast IPA that does exactly what it should.
