Some beers never really leave.

Joey Greenhorn was there early. One of the first names in the old Foreign Legion days, back when that series still had room for restless hop bombs alongside the darker stuff. Then he went quiet for a while. Missing in action. Until he showed up again for the opening of Binnenhaven. And now he’s back once more. Not as a throwback. As a reminder.

This is still Joey: a proper American IPA with bite, nerve and zero interest in playing nice. The base is lean and simple, there to hold the line while the hops do the damage. Simcoe sets the tone with grapefruit, citrus, stone fruit and that dry woody edge it always brings. Citra lights things up with bright citrus and tropical fruit. Mosaic adds berry, stone fruit and extra depth. Ekuanot pulls it sideways with sharper citrus, fruit and that slightly oddball green edge that keeps the beer from feeling too clean.

The result is bitter, punchy and old-school in the best way. Not soft. Not sweet. Just a fan favorite back where it belongs.
