Sansho Showdown

Some collaborations are brewed over a few emails.

Others end up in a showdown.

For Sansho Showdown, we teamed up with Baxbier to brew a Saison built around layers of citrus, spice and refreshment. A light and highly drinkable malt base provides the canvas, while Motueka and Hallertau Mittelfrüh bring bright citrus, floral notes and subtle spice.

Then come the finishing touches. Lemon verbena adds fresh citrus character and aromatic lift, while Japanese Sansho pepper contributes its signature citrus-forward spice and gentle tingling sensation that slowly builds as you drink.

The result is crisp, dry and incredibly refreshing. Layer after layer of citrus unfolds from the hops, herbs and spices, supported by lively carbonation and a pleasant bitterness that keeps you coming back for another sip.

Complex enough to keep you interested. Refreshing enough to empty the glass.
